Curling Alberta Stick Club Championships
Curling Alberta held the first Club Championships for stick curling at the Highwood Curling Club in High River, Feb 21-23, 2025.
Twelve teams competed in this first annual event. Six teams qualified for playoffs and the team of John Cabaj and Arturo Pianzola from the Granite Curling Club were crowned champions. They defeated Randy Olson and Stan Humphries from the Crestwood.
They will now compete in the Canadian Stick Curling Championships in Grande Prairie, April 2-6, 2025. They will also earn a berth in the World Open Stick Bonspiel at the Saville on April 23-26.
Showdown at the Saville – Volunteers
The Saville Community Sports Centre will be hosting four events in April/ May. World Triples Bonspiel – April 4-6, World Stick Curling Bonspiel – April 23-26, World U25 Mixed Doubles – May 1-4, World Junior Mixed Doubles – May 6-11.
